Members of the Canadian Judicial Council note with sadness the passing of the Honourable Kenneth Moore

Ottawa, 1 April 2016 – Members of the Canadian Judicial Council were saddened to hear of the passing of their former colleague, the Honourable Kenneth Moore who was Chief Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta from 1984 to 2000. Justice Moore was a member of Council upon his appointment as Associate Chief Justice in 1981 until his retirement in 2000. During that time, Justice Moore was active on many Committees of Council including the Judicial Conduct Committee and the Judicial Education Committee which he chaired from 1998-99. 

Council members extend their sympathy to the entire Moore family.
